Takes Silver Medal in Sr. Contest in Pasadena, Ca

QCA

To host district convention

(more on this soon)

Roger Lewis has been approved by the board as new President of QCA. Roger has a wealth of experience that will help the QCA to become the strong and viable organization we all believe it can be. Roger is a district Senior Champion (Harmony Hounds) and a two time Senior medallist as baritone of Antiques Roadshow.

As an administrator, Roger has held all district offices, represented the district on the International board; was 2003-2004 International President; Interim CEO in 2005, and elected to the Society Hall of Fame in 2009

We wish Roger all the best and look forward to the years to come. Since the office of QCA President has no term limits we'll have Roger to help us for a long time to come.

Fall Convention Show

Mike O'Donnel's first show as show chairman was a solid success. Past Champs: FOUR "D" MINORS - HARMONY TRANSFER - CHORDIOLOGY - RESISTING-A-REST - THE PARTY Made the show one of the best we've had.

QCA Steering Committee

The QCA Steering Committee will meet in January or February to discuss a wide range of topics including QCA's hosting of the fall convention

Other Quartet News

Current International Champion quartet - Crossroads, includes Pioneer district's Mike Slamka singing lead. Mike also is a gold medallist with Power Play.

Every year the QCA invites quartets to be a part of the QCA show at the Fall District convention. The quartets listed below include some active quartets and some legacy quartets who have retired but are welcome to attend and be recognized. If the legacy quartet would like to sing a song (even with replacements) that would certainly be welcome. --- Roger Lewis
