Three guys from the Lansing chapter dreamed of someday singing in a Senior Quartet contest. They had three parts of a quartet, tenor, lead and bari. Although they met the 55 year old minimum age requirement, they didn't have enough years to qualify fo the 60 year old average age. So they looked around for some old guy in the chorus who could increase their average age. They found a bass that could easily do it. They began practice to see if they could make it work. It did and the foursome of Tenor Don Terpe, lead Tim Oliver, bari Don Horton and bass Bob Fox went on to place first in the Senior Contest in Traverse City in the spring of 2007. They have found that they really enjoy each other's company and, most of all, just singing to gether. Don and Bob live in Lansing and Tim and Don Horton live in Owosso.
